What actually fails — and how we tell
Ignition failure on gas cooktops
Spark module, electrode or port blockage. Cleaning and electrode replacement resolve most single-burner complaints.
Cracked or chipped glass surface
On radiant and induction units the glass is a structural, sealed part. A crack means the surface must be replaced — using it cracked risks a short to the elements underneath.
Induction power module or coil
An induction zone that cuts out under load, won't recognise a pan, or throws an error code usually points at the generator module or the coil's temperature sensing rather than the control panel.
Electric element or infinite switch
A radiant element that won't heat, or one that only runs full-on, is generally the element or its switch — a contained, inexpensive repair.
Touch control panel faults
Moisture ingress and heat cycling take out touch controls. We test the panel and the control board together, because a failed panel and a failed board present identically.
